Practice These Daily Rituals To Reach Your Wellness Goals

How does your Daily Ritual begin? What can you do to reach your Wellness Goals?

A *cluck* *cluck* slaps softly against the window pane. A muted tussling of feathers pats the air, and then a few clicks of claws land against aluminum.  Eight pairs of dinosaur feet tick-tock their way to the ground, descending from their roost under where the Sun has started chipping some sky blue into the edge of the night.

Inside, a tectonic lean lifts up the edge of the bed, and two twin snouts start investigating the sea of winter blankets for signs of Mom and Dad. Two paws the size of salad plates press craters into the soft blankets searching for limbs to step on. Aftershocks and craters follow with two more paws, then two more, then two more. 

This is the way our mornings start. Seven days a week. It’s the good morning ritual of our animals. A pair of twin sheep dogs (each 10 months old and 140 lbs), and an octet of egg layers forever committed to greeting the sunrise.

But, now that the animals have played their role as God’s alarm clock, it’s up to us to take on the responsibility of our day from there.

Health is a practice. Aging is inflammation down to the DNA. And we are our habits.

Whether we mean to or not, we are creating our rituals and determining our health outcomes in all of the littlest moments of our day. Second by second, we are our own responsibility.

This is why developing the awareness of your daily rituals is everything, especially when wanting to be healthy.

This chart makes it easy to navigate from your Wellness Goal to the Daily Ritual you should implement. For example, I’ve been focusing on cognitive health as my #1 Wellness Goal. 

So, I navigate to the Cognitive Column and then look down through the Daily Rituals for an option that seems to correlate with where I have some space in my habits to introduce a Cognitive Boosting Ritual.

My macronutrient needs are met, as I find I do best fasting long periods, and eating a single meal or two a day full of rich in healthy fats and animal proteins, so I’ll move down to the next column. 

Daily Micronutrients for Longevity seems to resonate with me, as I feel like I could get more greens & I’ve heard great things about Turmeric and brain health. Since I don’t want to break my fast with a salad or protein powder, the micronutrients earlier in the day seem like a good fit. 

Thus, getting a greens powder and a turmeric powder that is micronutrient focused makes the most sense to me! Therefore I’ll follow the from the Cognitive Column + Daily Greens Row over to Supragreens and Golden Bliss!

Easy! I’ll just take some of both formulas each day whenever makes sense for my diet and lifestyle! Personally, I’ve found having these formulas in the late morning after my Daily Brew works well for my fasting regimen and leaves me feeling full of energy, but not bogged down by digesting.

Out of curiosity I wanted to see what other Daily Rituals are available to me so I keep moving down the chart. I see some check marks between Cognitive Health column and the Daily Recovery Ritual row and see that there are come chocolate bars there. So on the days I need a little boost, perhaps an afternoon chocolate square is a good idea for boosting my cognitive health, instead of a snack or meal.

Moving down further, I see the next check marks are in the Daily Morning Brew row. I love a good morning brew, so I feel like there’s room in my morning for something that is cognitive boosting. I move across this row and find that drinking Conscious Coffee and/or Conscious Cacao would be a great place for me to start my day. 

So, I’ll start my daily ritual with a cup of either of those! Personally, I love the Conscious Coffee with all the dark bitters for liver and brain health, plus the super power of the mushrooms.

This is just one example of how you might navigate the Wellness Matrix to upgrade your daily rituals to meet your Wellness Goals. Use it to upgrade how you’re already using your formulas, or to introduce something new into your regimen.

The Practices

In addition to the transformational practice of adding superfoods into your daily life, there are many free ways to create vitality daily:

  1. Exercise - Exercise is the most powerful free medicine we have available to us. It fuels our cells, tones our ability to detox, and floods our body with hormones, immune cells, and other helpful chemicals that are guaranteed to boost our health.
  2. Mindfulness - Keeping your thoughts focused on gratitude and good energy literally reprograms your brain and your mind. It is an undeniably powerful way to transform your life. Practices include things as easy as thinking “Thank You” every chance you get, or can include intense guided meditations.
  3. Time in Nature - Nature heals. Period. Getting fresh air, and getting your bare feet on the ground at least 20 minutes a day helps your body to detox, reset, and reboot. Don’t underestimate this incredibly powerful tool sitting at your doorstep!
  4. Time Spent Consciously Uncomfortable - Doing things that you don’t want to do will transform your brain and your life. From getting to the things on your check list you really don’t want to do, to taking a cold shower, making a goal of being uncomfortable will upgrade your life, reset your dopamine circuitry, and free you from the bondage of life’s heavy perspectives. Doing hard things makes doing hard things easier! Combine this with a gratitude meditation, and you will become a new human being!
